Principals
Sharon Farley Schiera, Chief Operations Officer – Brings over 25 years as a nurse, more than 15 years in medical management. She has ten years managing a nurse case management department specializing in workers compensation cases for carriers, self-insured employers and the plaintiffs' bar. Sharon's background includes years of experience managing a Utilization Review/Medical Management Department in the managed care arena and extensive clinical experience as a DME consultant. Her career has included oversight of a department whose responsibilities included coordinating care of over 25,000 lives, concurrent review of in-hospital patients, scrutinizing patient referrals, requests for authorizations and identifying claims for subrogation. She is also expert in Medicare & Medicaid Services (formerly HCFA) compliance.
Warren Silverman, MD – Chief Financial Officer - Warren Silverman MD is our Medical Director of Services. He is Board Certified in Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine and Forensic Medicine with additional expertise in the field of Emergency Medicine. In his 28 years as a physician, he has provided directorial oversight for Workers' Compensation activities in HMO and PPO environments and continues to serve of the CEO of Access Solutions, the parent organization for AdvoCase. With this responsibility he maintains a high level of proficiency in Occupational Medicine, Risk Management, Safety, Toxicology, Health Related Insurance Products and Fraud Investigation. He is the sole physician designated by the NYS Department of Labor as a Safety and Health Consultant. He is a Police Surgeon and a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner for the FAA and maintains an active medical practice seeing and treating work related injuries and illness.
